Information on GSS Constitution Amendment Referendum:

The GSS Executive Committee has proposed the following amendments to the current GSS Constitution at the request of the Budget Office. These changes are minor changes at language that serve to clarify the conditions of Senate Tax charges.

The Graduate Student Senate has unanimously approved these changes at the Senate meeting on April 19th. After a brief discussion, with full consensus, the senate voted 14-0 for the amendments. According to the GSS Constitution Article VII, after the approval by a three-fifth (3/5) vote at the Senate meeting, the changes shall be ratified by the general graduate student members. The amendments shall then be approved by the Board of Trustees before it becomes effective.
